I never really know how to start a blog post or what I should say first to get things going but what I can say for certain is that I love these humans and that are 100% my people! So what do I mean about “my people” well folks, let me share!

Photographers out there, I’m talking to you! You know when you meet a potential client for the first time and you’re like yep, this is a good fit. You just know that you’re with your people because not only do they not care about your really weird laugh and sometimes crude sense of humour but they respect and understand that you are indeed a person first before a photographer.

Fast forward to the wedding day, after all the months have passed from your first meeting and these people have now become your friends. On their wedding you meet their people, their families and everyone who has had a hand in shaping them into who they are now. You cry with them during the touching speeches made by their parents and siblings, you laugh probably louder than you should when they make jokes about the bride and groom and you think to yourself “oh ya, that’s totally Kevin” and during their first dance when they hold each other so closely and look up at one another as the moment of them becoming husband and wife sinks in just a bit deeper, you just know that that they have truly found their person. At the end of the wedding you feel feel so blessed and thankful, then they come up to you to tell you that you made their wedding day so much better by being there and by saying that they have just shifted the way you view your business; you truly know you were put on this earth to be a wedding photographer and be there for these people, for your clients, for your new friends and you leave like damn, that was awesome.

This is what I felt like with Michelle + Kevin. I’m truly so lucky to have been chosen to document your wedding, my cheeks hurt from smiling so hard and my heart feels so full looking through your images! You two are amazing humans and I’m so happy for you both! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for trusting me to capture your love and for becoming my people 💕 xoxo
