Hey there, I’m Carissa

I’m a wedding and lifestyle photographer based in Edmonton, with roots that often take me to Vancouver Island, the Rockies, and beyond. I’m endlessly inspired by human connection—the quiet gestures, the laughter that fills a room, and the fleeting moments that become a lifetime of memory.

Photography found me during one of the harder seasons of my life, and over time it’s become both my creative outlet and my grounding force. I’m drawn to images that feel honest, intentional, and a little imperfect—the kind that make you feel something every time you look back.
When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll find me running trails, thrifting vintage finds, or spending slow mornings with my husband and son. Those simple moments of stillness and joy are what remind me why I do what I do—because life, at its core, is about connection.

Let’s create something that feels like you—timeless, heartfelt, and real.

Purposefully capturing what

makes you whole, with intention and heart

I approach every wedding the way I approach life—with curiosity, care, and a love for real moments. I’m not there to stage or perfect; I’m there to witness, to notice, to tell the story that already exists.

I’m inspired by emotion, movement, and the quiet beauty that unfolds when people are simply themselves. My goal is for your photos to feel like memories—authentic, effortless, and full of life.

"We are being entirely honest when we say she felt like a close friend by the end of our wedding day."

I'm A Vancouver Island Girl

01

I grew up on the West Coast—Victoria, BC, to be exact—and no matter where life takes me, I’ll always be an Island kid at heart. (Yes, that’s little me in the yellow swimsuit!) While Alberta is home now, I find every excuse to return to Victoria, drawn back by its beauty, its energy, and the chance to capture love stories against the stunning West Coast backdrop.

I'm a runner

02

I ran my first half marathon this past September and quickly fell in love with running. It brings me clarity, calm, and a sense of purpose — while challenging me in all the best ways. In 2026, I’ll be running two more half marathons and can’t wait to keep training, growing, and finding peace on the trails.

I’m certified in the practice as a Holistic Doula and my Reiki level one. I have a deep passion for capturing authentic birth stories and the raw moments that encompasses that journey. In another life I would’ve have loved to have studied to be a midwife.

Real connections,
genuine hearts.
