I feel so lucky to be Kayla and Chris’s wedding photographer! I’ve known Kayla for just about 5 years now and she is one of my best friends! We had so much fun during their engagement session adventuring around Barrier Lake and getting cuddly in a cozy little loft in Calgary. I feel so lucky to be the one to capture their story and give them memories to look back on for years to come!! I know their wedding this fall in Canmore at the beautiful Stewart Creek Golf & Country Club is going to be one for the books!
A little dive into their love tale:
Chris saw Kayla for the first time crossing the street at a MacEwan University bus stop. He was then introduced by a mutual friend just minutes later. She liked his dimples, he liked her butt. Too focused on her … personality … to remember her name, Kayla became known as “Bus Girl”. It was romance from the start.
After multiple bus rides; first, second, and third dates; many mountain adventures where the speed limit was never exceeded; Europe trips effortlessly navigated by Kayla; long-distance Texan goodbyes and Saskatchewan road trips, they bought their first home in the summer of 2018. A few months later, Chris proposed on Christmas Eve, Eve with a well-thought out, sarcastic scavenger hunt.
